About the broadcast
Radio AF has been broadcasting live 24/7 via internet radio since 2014, after the FM broadcasts on frequency 99.1 ended. The programming is diverse and consists of shows, music, live performances, and special broadcasts such as the station’s marathon broadcast during Musikhjälpen. All content is created and produced by students. The program lineup is extensive and is updated each semester with new shows. Programs are often available for listening both on this website and on streaming platforms like Spotify and iTunes.
Schedule
Music
The music curator is ultimately responsible for all the music played on the radio. They constantly update the rotation and create and schedule fixed music playlists. However, it is important to remember that everyone involved in the radio station is encouraged to share their opinions about the music, with music meetings playing an important role in this process. Every other week, open music meetings are held for anyone active in the station who wants to participate. Everyone can suggest songs they would like to hear on the radio, and during these meetings, participants vote on where in the rotation the songs should be placed, i.e., how frequently they should be played. Song requests can be sent to musik@radioaf.se, to ensure the radio does not miss any great new songs.
